Job Description

Accounts ClerkBreedon on the Hill, Leicestershire12 Month Maternity Cover£23,000 - £25,000My client is a leading supplier in the construction and manufacturing industries, with hundreds of sites across the UK and Ireland. From asphalt, to concrete, to specialist building products, they supply it all.They are looking for an Accounts Clerk to join their team on a 12 month fixed-term basis, supporting with the financial transactions across their Materials team.Reporting to the Accounts Supervisor, you will

  • Participate in and support Health & Safety awareness across the sites
  • Reconciliation of Owner Drivers accounts
  • Liaise with Transport Managers, the extended Finance Team, and both internal/external stakeholders
  • Reconciliation and balancing of recharges accounts
  • Generate and process accurate journal uploads
  • Payment allocations
  • Comply with and accurately apply all accounting policies and processes
  • Ensure all systems and documentation are kept up-to-date and to a high standard
  • Assist with call handling, where required
  • Ad hoc duties, where required
The successful candidate will have
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Comfortable working both in a team and independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Fleet Management Processes and Systems would be advantageous
Due to the remote location of the site, it is essential that you hold a full valid UK driving license and have access to your own car.
