Job Description

TutorAre you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young peopleDo you have a knack for connecting with students and helping them achieve their academic potentialIf so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at an alternative provision secondary school in Solihull.*** Tutor – English*** £80 - £100 per day*** Immediate start until July 2024*** School based in Solihull*** Fantastic supportAbout the School: The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for students who require additional support due to various challenges. Despite facing behavioural difficulties, the students thrive with the fantastic support systemin place.Position Overview: They are seeking a dedicated and compassionate tutor to support students in English. As a tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping our students develop their literacy skills, improve comprehension, and enhance theiroverall confidence in English.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in English.
  • Develop tailored lesson plans and learning materials to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to student growth and success.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic improvement.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop holistic support plans for students.
Requirements:
  • A degree in English, Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young people.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
