Job Description

Machine Operative Shift Pattern Availability: 4/7 or 5/7Option A (Days): 6am6pmOptions B (Nights): 6pm6am Salary: up to £10.52 per hour, dependant on skill (full training is provided)The RoleOur Operatives are (quite literally) the bread and butter of Gearys. Youre responsible for ensuring the delicious bread we produce, and package is of the best possible quality, that adds a spark of joy to peoples daily lives. Your main responsibilities include:

Operate and maintain the machine ensuring the highest possible quality of product
Maintain a tight control of the level of waste product
Carry out and record periodic checks
Ensure the good housekeeping of the work area and that CAYG (clean as you go) is strictly adhered to
Prior to use, ensure machinery is in safe working condition
You must be prepared to carry out other duties as and when required, such as tray/tin up and/or other production duties

Youll be moving around a busy bakery, carrying out manual and non-manual tasks, which may be physically demanding at times.
