Job Description

Hygiene Team LeaderShift Pattern Availability: 4 on 4 offNights: 6pm6am Salary: £11.65 per hourThe RoleThe Hygiene Team Leader has to be able to achieve all Hygiene technicians tasks and training and advance to the following additional responsibilities illustrated below. Training will be given in all areas of your role for 3 months. When fully trained yourresponsibility will be to supervise a Team of 3 to 8 operatives. The Team Leader is accountable for the quality, efficiency and standards of work in the area of responsibility through effective utilisation of both people and resources. This is a hands onrole on the shop floor.Responsibilities

  • Checking manning levels at start of shift and allocating duties to Hygiene operatives.
  • Communicating with agencies if required.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment are of working order and safe to use.
  • Cleaning chemicals are checked to ensure adequate supply and are of the correct concentration.
  • Inspect staff during cleaning to ensure H&S and food safety standards are complied with.
  • Ability to raise and send near misses to relevant departments as well as assist with resolutions.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules and systems are followed for Bakery operations.
  • Liaise with Operations on schedules for change overs and plan with your team accordingly.
  • Monitor cleaning efficiency through visual checks.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Should know all Hygiene duties required throughout the shift.
  • You should be Computer literate to a level that you can send Hygiene shifts reports/ other documentation.
General Duties
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are correctly followed.
  • Understanding of ATP requirements and how/why to achieve.
  • Ability to use CMMS system to highlight or report engineering requirements with key focus being H&S, foreign body risks and food safety.
  • Issue PPE correctly.
  • Carry out hand overs between shifts correctly.
  • Ensure staff follow Good Manufacturing Practice standards for food hygiene.
  • Continuously monitor quality and ensure adherence to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
