Job Description

Flow Wrapper Machine OperativeShift Pattern Availability: 4/7 or 5/7 Nights: 6pm6am Salary: up to £10.52 per hour, dependant on skill (full training is provided)The RoleOur Operatives are (quite literally) the bread and butter of Gearys. Youre responsible for ensuring the delicious bread we produce and package is of the best possible quality, that adds a spark of joy to peoples daily lives. Your main responsibilities include

  • Carrying out a variety of manual handling tasks, cutting, yield understanding & control, line set up, operation of wrapping machines, using machinery and materials handling equipment where necessary
  • Ensuring high product quality
  • Handling all waste streams
  • Ensuring high equipment performance in line with H&S guidelines
  • Cleaning, checking fault-finding key equipment
  • Being responsible for site safety, ensuring this is met at all times
  • Supplying machines with the correct packaging and materials
  • Working as part of the Operations team
  • Adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures, Site Policies and Safe Systems of Work. Youll be moving around a busy bakery, carrying out manual and non-manual tasks, which may be physically demanding at times.
