Job Description

This role is based in our office, in Appley Bridge where great ideas are born. You will have an opportunity to learn new skills, you will be working on a daily basis with a wide range of fabrics, manufacturing methods and product design. You will have an opportunity to travel abroad to our overseas factories and be involved in production process management.Key Responsibilities

  • Market research and new product development
  • Creating patterns and approving patterns created by factories
  • Creating and amending samples in order to meet deadlines
  • Daily contact with Far East factories to ensure instructions are being followed and quality standards are met
  • Approving all stages of samples from first fit through to sealing samples
  • Creating Garment specification and Graded size charts
  • Regular visits to overseas factories as and when required
  • Completing quality control checks
  • Approving fabric quality, colours, packaging and labelling
  • Sourcing and approving materials for production
  • Monitoring production to ensure deadlines are met by manufacturers
  • Liaise with sales department, to ensure delivery schedules are met
  • Essential skills
  • Experience in liaising with manufacturers
  • Highly organised and driven by processes
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with and create patterns in a digital format
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Knowledge of waterproof garments and associated clothing would be an advantage but no essential as training will be provided
