ST20 OQJWorking within a small team, the Warehouse Operative has responsibility for controlling all activities within the Warehouse function whilst on shift, ensuring that all agreed standards within the department are met.The Warehouse Operative is required to communicate extensively with various functions both internal and external to the business i.e. Suppliers, Delivery drivers, Production staff, Supply Chain & logistics function, as well as direct reporting lines. Workingclosely with the Warehouse Team Leader to ensure the efficient movement of product on site to meet the demands of production and customers whilst promoting the importance of working at pace and accuracy.Starting salary of£26,508.88, withpotential to progress up to £29,454.32 (subject to skills and competency development over time.)What Youll be Doing:

  • Ensure efficient operation of the warehouse function whilst on shift in line with the demands of production.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient movement of stock on and off siteloading and unloading of product.
  • At all times comply with appropriate Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures on site as well as statutory legislation.
  • Ensure that the Warehouse management system is fully employed to maintain accuracy between the system and physical stock.
  • Carry out stock checks in line with the stock count matrix, providing accurate and timely information to maintain stock integrity in conjunction with the site KPIs.
  • Extensive communication with various functions both internal and external to the business i.e. Suppliers, Delivery drivers, Production staff, Supply Chain & logistics function, as well as direct reporting lines.
  • Complete handover reports at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Team Leader as required.
  • Cover for the front of House / Logistics Support function as required.
Hours per week: 12 hour shift pattern, 3 week rotating, plus 10 scheduled Saturday shifts throughout the year.   • Good Standard of English & Maths
  • FLT Counterbalance and VNA
  • Minimum of 2-year previous experience working within a Warehouse / Transport function
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety Procedures
  • Experienced FLT Driver
  • Computer literate
  • Strong Team Skills
  • Strong communication skills
