Job Description

Overview and Responsibilities Location:Westbury Park, Bristol(Good transport links and free parking available on site)Hourly Rate: £11.00-£12.00ph - Linked to experience and qualifications.Annual Salary: £22,880.00 - £24,960.00 PLUS £1500 Welcome bonus*Hours: 40 hours per week – Part time hours will be considered. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY Hyde Lodge is an amazing home in Westbury Park that provides a supported living and learning environment for 8 young adults aged 25-30 with severe and complex learning difficulties.Your roleYou will be working 1:1 with one of our young adults on each shift. You will have the freedom to plan their day in line with their choices and wishes, enabling them to be as independent as possible, seeing them thrive and living life to the fullIn addition to providing personal care you’ll support them in a wide range of learning, development and social activities including arts and crafts, cookery, music, gardening, swimming, shopping trips and fun social occasions.This isn’t a sitting around, watching TV doing nothing type job; we are looking for people who want to create fun, active experiences whilst demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to supporting our young people.You do not need to have experience in the care sector, we can support and train you on your journey.Skills and Qualifications Successful candidate qualities:

  • Ability to actively guide and encourage supportive independence when possible.
  • Exceptional communication skills, empathy and understanding..
  • Good interpersonal, communication and team working skills.
  • Happy to work in an environment where they will have to support with challenging behaviour
