Job Description

Social Worker AdultsIf you enjoy supporting older adults to overcome challenges and reach their full potential, dont miss out on this fantastic opportunity.Due to an internal promotion, we are assisting a local authority in Greater Manchesterrecruit to a 3 month temporary Social Worker vacancy within their Community service.Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Confident undertaking S42 safeguarding enquiries.
  • Confident in undertaking Mental capacity act assessments and applying best interests framework.
  • Confident in duty role, and in screening referrals against Care Act 2014 criteria.
  • Organised and able to manage a caseload.
  • Familiar with Liquid Logic.
The Successful candidate will receive an induction and will be part of a friendly and supportive team of social workers, social care assessors, a community link officer and business support officersSupervision will be provided on a monthly basisThis is a fantastic and well ran service, where social workers thrive in theirenvironment and have an opportunity to reflect upon and develop their practiceregularly.You will be assigned all the necessary technology to help you work from home in the firstinstance with office working being considered at a later date.As the ideal candidate, you will:
  • Be aQSW, registered withSocial Work England
  • Have previous experience working across childrens services
  • experienced in completing strengths based and person centred needs assessments, support planning and direct payments.
