Job Description

We are very proud to be partnering with this FE College to find a true HR Business Partner Lead to join their high-performing team. Partnering with managers and their respective teams this is a fantastic opportunity to join the organisation as they continue on a journey of increasing capability, streamlining processes, enhancing their technology offering and overall productivity.Reporting to the Director of HR key responsibilities for this role:

  • Lead the implementation of the HR People Strategy and Organisational Development and Engagement Plan at a managerial level and support the Head of HR at a leadership level
  • Ensure effective equality and diversity monitoring and target setting is conducted for employment matters and that such information is reported to the Head of HR and Performance for input to the Group’s Equality and Diversity Committee
  • Partnering with a dedicated client group across the full employee life cycle focusing on execution and delivery
  • Undertake line management responsibility for the HR Business Partner team. Effectively line manage direct staff reports, ensuring the tasks required of their role are understood and carried out effectively
  • Coaching leaders through their people issues, advising on policies, procedures, legislations, and frameworks to build capability
  • Set overall standards for work and communicate objectives and operational plans to the HRBP team, carrying out performance appraisals embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Put into in place remedial action as and when required
  • Comply with Group Financial Regulations and ensure the HRBP team work in a cost effective manner in line with budget ensuring value for money at all times.
  • Set overall standards for work and communicate objectives and operational plans to the HRBP team, carrying out performance appraisals embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Put into in place remedial action as and when required.
  • Leading proactive discussions regarding change management, workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
  • To be considered for this role, you will have:
  • CIPD qualified - Ideally Level 7
  • Prior experience of driving inclusion and diversity initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary people management
  • A commercial and analytical mindset and the ability to have challenging conversations with an intellectual workforce in a fast-paced environment
  • Seeking someone with a good sense of humour, who is professional yet relaxed and has a collaborative mindset
  • Experience of coaching and upskilling managers as well as examples of delivering change initiatives
  • Sound knowledge of employment law in respect of employee relations is required as you will be advising and supporting managers on the full employee life cycle
  • You will need to be a strong partner who can be assertive, read-the-room, commercial, tenacious, and approachable
  • This position is subject to an enhanced criminal records check from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) and will be subject to satisfactory clearance of this check. Required skills
