Job Description

Animal Carer/Trainer Full time 38.5 hours per weekRota pattern including 06.30-14.30 & 7 days on, or 08:00-16:00 5 days on Rota basis including weekends and bank holidaysAbout us:At Adecco, we foster a culture of trust that creates a diverse, healthy workplace and teams with a family feel to them.   • There is no need to be a dog or cat handler extraordinaire, all necessary training is given to you when you start. But a passion for animals is a must.
  • A unit specialists primary purpose is to deliver research data, collecting data or biological samples from our pets (for example faeces or urine) with Health and Safety at the forefront of everything.
  • Provide care for our dogs and cats through animal husbandry and training, using positive reinforcement.
  • Working safely and to a high quality are our priorities. As part of this, you will be expected to actively identify and propose improvements to what we do and how we do it.
  • Planning your day-to-day tasks effectively
Experience:
  • Experience of working without supervision in a fast-paced environment where you can adapt, as part of a team is essential.
  • Experience of working through conflict management within a team in essential.
Requirements:
  • Own transport is essential due to location as cannot be reached by public transport.
  • Successful applicants will need to undergo security checks and undertake a medical on-site with the Occupational Health Advisor.
  • You will be starting on a paid 2 or 4 week training schedule Monday - Friday 8-4 pm.
