NDT TechnicianThurmaston, LE4£27k - £30k Double Days Shifts SummaryA new opportunity for an NDT Technician to join a very successful aerospace company based inThurmaston. This role has double day shifts available and are as follows:Double DaysWeek 1: Monday to Thursday: 5:30 am to 14:00 pm Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 13:30 pmWeek 2: Monday to Thursday: 14:00pm to 10:30pmThe company is offering a salary between £27k – £30k dependant on experience. The EmployerThis company specialise in manufacturing nuts, bolts and fasteners predominatelyfor the aerospace industry. They are looking foran NDT Technician or to join their expanding team due to their business rapidly growing.The Job

  • Inspect products for relevant indications using the following NDT techniques:
  • Fluorescent magnetic particle bench.
  • Post emulsified fluorescent penetrant inspection.
  • Refer indication found to the Laboratory and liaise where necessary on the nature of the defects.
  • Perform necessary control checks on the equipment.
  • Maintain required quality data.
  • Maintain required personal accreditation via regular eye tests, examination and appraisal as administered by the client.
  • Move completed work to next staging area
  • Other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate
  • A minimum of six months documented experience in one of the following:
  • Fluorescent magnetic particle bench.
  • Post emulsified fluorescent penetrant inspection.
  • Ability to maintain paper & electronic records
  • Ability to communicate decisions & problems
  • To communicate decisions & problems
