Job Description

MTrec are currently looking to recruit a Sewing Machinist for one of our clients in the Tanfield area due to their current growth and expansion.The Role:

  • Previous experience within the textile industry is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
  • Working with high valued items
  • Working with a range of materials, mainly being leather
  • Operating flat beds and over lockers, stitching products, changing reels and bobbins
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to learn and progress
  • Working to various production drawings, making sure all specifications are met
  • Completing own quality inspections
The Person:
  • At least 5 years experience operating a sewing machine
  • Experience in producing different products using various stitching techniques
  • The ability to understand technical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail, with good problem solving skills
  • Good Organisation and planning skills
  • The ability to work alone or in a team
