Job Description

The role: Purchasing & Planning Assistant Location: Sywell, Northampton Contract: Permanent Salary: Up to 27k for the right candidateSF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Purchasing/Planning Assistant to join their small team of 3, reporting into the Purchasing Manager. THE ROLE

  • Purchase administration and order processing using an ERP system
  • Reviewing supplier purchase orders with invoices ensure the payment schedule is in accordance with the individual terms
  • Manage some category products by reviewing stock and requirements and preparing orders to be approved by the Purchasing and Planning manager
  • Coordinate container booking and shipment documentation with shipping agents
  • To liaise with freight forwarders and goods-in team, regarding the arrival of deliveries
  • Create consignments in LV and manage in stock dates as shipping schedule is updated
  • Prepares list of products on back order ahead of containers arriving in the warehouse
  • Reviewing parameters in a planning tool for respective products (Service levels, review times, cover period / lead-times)
  • Review weekly production plans with supplies, covering (material availability, target container date)
THE CANDIDATE
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact both internally and externally
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience of working in a Purchasing environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous scheduling/purchasing experience is advantageous but not essential
  • You will have a "can do" attitude, with the ability to "flex" and perform as a strong team player
