Job Description

Part-Time Accounts AssistantWe are looking for a part-time account assistant to help assist a client we are working with in the Sywell area of Northamptonshire.You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely accounting support to our clients and staff, using Sage 50 software.This is a temp to perm role with working 3 days a week roughly 15-20 hours a week. Monday Wednesday Friday (this could be flexible depending on the right person)Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Reconciling bank statements and petty cash
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing and reporting
  • Maintaining financial records and files in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Responding to queries and requests from clients and staff
  • chasing outstanding debt
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a small or medium-sized business
  • Proficient in Sage 50 accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • AAT Level 2-3-4 (must be confident all rounder)
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and to deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands
