Role: Learning Support Location: Alfreton Start Date: Jan 2024Empowering Learning are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable school in Alfreton.If you have a genuine interest in supporting students learning and development, this is the perfect role for you.As a Learning Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting students who require additional learning support.Your responsibilities will include:

You will work with the subject specialist teachers who will provide their expertise in supporting you with the subject matter to enable you to deliver engaging learning support.
To provide specialist subject expertise to assist students, completing reports and providing feedback on student progress as appropriate.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience working with children of a Secondary age in a Learning Support environment.
Have the confidence and ability to challenge negative behaviours and re-focus learning engagement.
Understand SEND and provide a calm and nurturing learning environment.
