Consortium have partnered with a highly successful business that are looking for a Senior Projects Buyer to drive supplier performance, reduce costs, and ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery. Youll spearhead procurement strategies, manage supplierrelationships, and oversee the entire buying process for engineering projects and Capex.Responsibilities:* Procurement Expertise: Develop and implement procurement strategies, manage sourcing and negotiations, ensure contract execution and delivery.* Supplier Management: Build and manage strong relationships, drive performance improvements, and mitigate risks.* Project Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and Operations to support tenders, sourcing plans, supplier audits, and more.* Business Impact: Ensure procurement visibility across the company, develop strong stakeholder relationships, and provide leadership on sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance.* Performance Analysis: Monitor supplier performance, provide feedback, and track KPIs for value generation.* Compliance: Understand and adhere to all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental, and quality management policies and procedures.Qualifications:* Extensive procurement experience, demonstrably leading projects and delivering results.* Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies, adapting to changing needs.* Experience managing supplier performance, competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and execution.* Experience of strategic procurement within an process engineering environment preferred with knowledge of Capex Projects.* MCIPS or degree qualification preferred but not essential.* Results-oriented with a track record of achieving objectives.* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships.* Professional attitude with the ability to influence others.* Financial acumen and commitment to fiscal responsibility.* Ability to visualize, communicate, and drive solutions to business and procurement challenges.You will be joining a highly innovative business that has experienced incredible success and continues to be the leader in its field.
