Our client are looking for a Maintenance Materials Coordinator to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join an established department supporting the day to day activities for the maintenance function as well as developing and supporting theirsystems for the long term.The role of Maintenance Coordinator offers great variation, the Maintenance Coordinator will support the department with the procurement of parts and equipment as well as supporting the management of services and facilities contracts & contractors.This role is suited to someone looking to join a progressive business with a willingness to lean and progress in their career. You could have a background in engineering or procurement to be considered for this position.Key responsibilities and measures of the Maintenance Materials Coordinator:* Work closely with planning to understand departments needs* Hire plant equipment as required* Procure parts and spares in line with departmental requirements* Liaise with external service providers to communicate requirements and arrange site attendance* Manage inventory levels within the engineering department* Assist stores in booking engineering spares in / out* Liaise with suppliers* Sourcing new suppliers* Check paperwork for contractors meets site requirements* Develop and improve the departments operations seeking out and highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement and cost effectivenessThe Candidate: * A background in engineering / manufacturing environments, ideally with good exposure to procurement within or supporting the engineering functions* Experience working with CMMS platforms would be helpful* Good attention to detail* Driven and wanting to progress in a fantastic company and culture* Willingness to take on new challenges and learn* Good communication and interpersonal skills.* Strong written communicationThis role is suited to candidates looking to join a company that offer long term opportunities to challenge yourself, develop and grow.Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
