Consortium Recruitment are pleased to be representing a progressive and fast growing organisation that are looking to add a Procurement Manager to their team. As Procurement Manager, you will lead the procurement function for the business, developing anddelivering the procurement strategy as well as managing a team of 2. About the role:* Develop commercial procurement strategies for goods and services in line with the business strategy and needs* Responsible for the procurement function, ensuring best practice and market information for a range of goods and services* Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers* Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, executing contracts and supplier management* Develop the team of 2, monitoring their performance and ensuring targets are being met in line with company objectives* Drive value for money, level of service and quality standards when dealing with vendors and suppliers.* Ensure that vendors and suppliers meet required standards and technical expertise* Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, including anti-bribery and corruption, anti-slavery and tax evasion* Review contracts with suppliers and compare competing proposals* Support delivery of CAPEX projects* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders within the business and the wider group* Actively manage the renewal process of existing contracts* Partner with other functions to support functional objectivesAbout you:* A self-driven individual who will interact and develop relationships across the business* Clear focus on safety, high quality and commercial success * Experience of identifying and executing procurement strategies and business change in response to market position* Experience of managing supplier performance* MCIPs qualified and/or degree qualified is preferred* Experience in chemical or process manufacturing is desirable* Experience of leading a team The company are a leading manufacturer that are experience a period of growth.
