Job Description

Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of a dedicated team, the Volunteering and Community Assistant plays a core role in providing fantastic internal service for our team of volunteers. No two days are the same in this varied and vital role. Alongsideover 100 staff, Quarry Bank has more than 330 active volunteers helping out across this incredible historic property in a number of different roles. If working to support people in a fun and friendly environment is something you enjoy, then this is the rolefor you.This is a permanent role, working 22.5 hours per week, but we can offer some flexibility about how these hours are fulfilled. Small amount of weekend work will be necessary on a rota basis.Salary: £10.25 per hour.The pay for this role will lift to a minimum of £10.42 on 1st April 2023 in line with the changes to the Government National Living Wage.Please note that the closing date for applications is 26th Februaryand interviews will be held on 1st March.If you have any questions about this role please contact:.uk What its like to work here This former cotton mill was built in 1784 and is one of Britains greatest industrial heritage sites. The mill, apprentice house, gardens, and wider estate all help to bring Quarry Banks fascinating story to life. This is an exciting opportunity to workin fast growing location, and the team pride themselves on being dynamic, highly motivated and passionate people.Click here for more information about this location What youll be doing Youll be a vital cog in the wheel, helping to ensure that our volunteers have a positive experience whilst carrying out their responsibilities. You will be the first point of contact for dealing with volunteer enquiries and supporting with a wide rangeof administrative tasks associated with the volunteer experience. Youll also be involved with maintaining and developing relationships with our community partners. Who were looking for

  • Good team worker, with a flexible approach and a willingness to grow experience across several different operational aspects of the property
  • Skilled listener, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organised and able to work with minimal supervision
