Summary Your role will be to provide an exceptional visitor experience through varying styles of storytelling and guided tours. This storytelling will celebrate the propertys Spirit of Place and you will be able to engage and connect with audiences of all typesand ages. Youll be the face of our unique and bespoke experiences, bringing the story to life for our visitors. Youll be part of a team of storytellers and volunteers working across the multiple venues on the property.This role will work 4 days a week in Summer, and 1 or 2 days per week in Winter. The busy estate hosts many schools programmes and events, which help bring Quarry Banks fascinating story to life. New areas of the estate will shortlyopen to the public, creating additional project-based roles. Click here for more information about this location What youll be doing As a Storyteller, youll bring the magic of this property alive. Youll deliver guided tours and bespoke experiences with flair and theatre, be able to hold a space and engage with a mixed audience, ensuring visitors have an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.Youll be a charismatic storyteller, someone who enjoys working and interacting with people. Its important that youve a keen interest in history, as well as experience of working with the public and especially children and young people.Youll be providing guided tours in costume to the public and in character to visiting school groups. In free flow spaces youll provide interesting and enlightening talks to visitors and be adaptable in answering their questions and engaging with theirinterests.Along with a passion for providing the highest standards of customer service, youll also be able to inspire those around you with your passion and enthusiasm for our work.
