Prison Nurse - RGN Hourly Pay: £25.00 - £32.00Various shifts availablePart-time or Full-time hours consideredAre you looking for a challenging and rewarding nursing role and want to develop your clinical skills in an environment where no two days are the same Do you have experience or interest in working in rehabilitation and maintaining the wellbeing of offendersIf so, we want to hear from you!Time recruitment are currently working with a handful of trusts across the UK to assist in recruiting for nurses to work within Prison settings. The services across the Northwest facilitate the detention of adult male, Female and Youth offenders. The rolewill include (but is not limited to) delivering a nurse lead clinic, support with mental health and substance misuse related mental health, promoting health, providing a rapid response to medical emergencies, wound care and evaluation of patient care.To be considered you MUST;* Be a registered nurse (RGN/RMN)* Have a current and valid NMC registration* Be able to provide evidence of CPD* Be able to supply satisfactory employment referencesIdeally, you will also have;* Experience working with substance misuse patients and or have an RCGP qualification in Substance Misuse* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary framework and the prison environment* A flexible approach and the ability to deliver care in an environment that has changing priorities* A sound clinical or substance misuse knowledge* Good organisational skills* Good assessment skills, including an understanding of risk assessments* A good awareness of health issues relating to substance misuse* The ability to use holistic approaches and treat patients as unique individualsIn return, our client will offer continuing training and support, the ability to work as a part of a supportive and close knit team of medical professionals, progression opportunities and a competitive hourly rate.To thrive in this type of nursing role, you must be able to work autonomously and think on your feet, be resilient and ready to face and overcome challenges daily.
