Job Description

A Brilliant new oppurtunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Childrens Support Worker to join a brand-new Childrens Home located in Wilmslow, Cheshire.We endeavour to create a home environment that exceeds the needs of the children and young people, enabling them to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives. We aim to provide the best-in-class and support for children and young people.Our home is immaculately decorated and tastefully furnished, creating a real sense of comfort, security and positivity.Working as a Support Worker, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood.   • Provide a safe environment for the young people in our care
  • Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
  • Be a good team player to provide a high level of care and achieve positive outcomes
  • Encourage the young people to be motivated and take part in activities, education and extracurricular activities
  • Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork
  • Demonstrate a commitment to own training and development
  • Be able to adapt working practice to the ethos of the home
  • Have resilience, motivation and determination
  • Can adapt to challenging and changing situations
  • Be inclusive to all children and young people
  • Be confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, or willing to learn
  • Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Apply for enhanced DBS disclosure and if applicable, overseas criminal records checks
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
  • Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people
  • Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Childrens Homes
  • Diploma Level 3 qualified in Children and Young Persons Workforce or equivalent
