Tired of split shifts Hate working nights Want to take the odd weekend offThis Chef position could be what you are looking for.We are working alongside our client, a secure unit, in the search for a Chef on the outskirts of Manchester.The role is in the main kitchen working in a team of up to 20 at a time.Working an average of 39 hours per week on a 7 week rota, working just 2 weekends in that period. There are no late shifts, so the lastest finish is 6 pm. Shifts vary slightly but are usually 7.30am-6pmThis role is available on a temporary basis, to a permanent placement at the end of a successful security process and probationary period.The site is accessible on public transport, however own transport is desired.Main responsibilities of the position are:* Catering in part of a team for up to 800 people* Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to* Assisting with clear down and clean up after service* Monitoring equipment checks* Supervising a small teamIn return, you can expect a basic pay rate of £11.25ph Monday to Friday, £12.50ph Saturdays and £15ph Sundays.Youll also accrue holiday pay on top of these rates, be paid weekly and have the option of joining a company pension scheme.If you complete a successful probationary period and are offered and permanent role, you will benefit from a government pension, sick leave, childcare vouchers and 33 days holiday per year, rising every year of service.This role would suit a candidate that is capable of dealing with fast service, while multi-tasking and working well under pressure. Communication is important in this role, so the ability to liaise with customers and clients quickly, in a polite manner and also deal with complaints and questions efficiently is desirable.The cooking skill set required is at a Chef De Partie level.
