Job Description

THE ROLEA fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Specialist has arisen at a world leading business based in Stokesley North Yorkshire.Originally a small family business they have grown over the past 40 years and now operate offices from the UK and the US and cancomfortably call themselves experts in the field.Its an exciting business who has an impact from the bottom of the ocean with deep sea submarines through to the edge of space having been involved with the International Space Station.Salary: £25,000Location: Stokesley, North YorkshireHybrid working: No. This role is based on site full time. There is though a site in California which you can travel too once or twice a year.Working Hours: MondayFriday (core hours 09:0016:30 with 15:00 finish on Friday)Holidays: 24 days, plus bank holidays, plus your birthday off.Despite its growth you will join an organisation that still retains its family feel and one which likes to take care of its employees.DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIESThough this role may be pigeonholed as a 1st Line support role and you will be the initial face and contact for the IT Team, you will quickly find yourself supporting across the 2nd and 3rd line as well as being involved in project work.The role will predominantly involve:

  • Creating new starter accounts
  • Actioning movers and leavers
  • A wide variety of both desktop and remote support.
  • End User training to new starters.
  • Helpdesk reporting and analysis
  • IT security, risk identification & mitigation
  • Improvement delivery, including problem identification and resolution.
  • Identifying and delivering end user training.
  • Developing, maintaining, and operating processes and procedures, work instructions and help notes.
  • Helpdesk system life cycle management & system admin.
YOUR SKILLSThis is fantastic opportunity to join a fantastically supportive team the ideal candidate will come with a degree of experience working in a support role both remotely and face to face. However, there are opportunities to learn new skills and grow within therole.The business operates in a primarily google workspace and uses Active Directory and Intune, so knowledge of these would be an advantage.You will be able to demonstrate:
  • Previous 1st / 2nd Line Support experience
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • A positive approach to problem solving.
  • A self-learner who can be resourceful in figuring out answers to problems.
  • Communication skills are a must, need to be able to communicate well with end clients and colleagues, you will grow to be the face IT Support of the business
  • You will need to be able to obtain Security Clearance.
