Are you a qualified, licensed and practising Dispensing Optician, with at least 12 months experience, thats now seeking a new role in the Uxbridge area and one that will allow you to develop within your chosen field, as well as expandg your overallcommercial skill set in terms of store development and promotion...if yes, then please read on to find out more and apply today.As Dispensing Optician for this established online provider thats recently opened its first high street store in Uxbridge, youllplay a pivotal role in helping to promote and build the business physical retail presence, while also contributing to, andbecoming involved in, the companys plans for future expansion.In your role as the Dispensing Optician, you will of course follow optometrist prescriptions and aid customers with subsequent spectacles and or contact lenses fitting, as well as other optical accessories etc, while providing necessary advice on a rangeof associated topics, including lenses, frames, weight, colour, aftercare and overall style.Your role as Dispensing Optician will also involve, but not be limited to:

Ordering a range of optical products and managing inventory accordingly
Liaising with prescription houses regarding lenses orders
Maintaining promotional material and applicable store displays
Liaising with external sales representatives and other providers when required.
Maintaining an organised administrative function and accurate patient records
Undertaking facial measurements to ensure correct frame etc. fit and positioning
Advising on repairs or amendments

Naturally a people person, with strong inter-personal skills, youll be organised and adaptable, with the ability to gently negotiate and influence optical based purchasing decisions accordingly.Qualified and GOC registered, youll be IT literate, as well as confident and competent at working with the mathematical and scientific information supplied by optometristsOn offer in return is a starting salary of c£35,000 - £37,000 per annum, negotiable subject to experience, along with benefits that include company pension scheme and 23 days annual holiday, plus statutory bank holidays.
