Job Description

Purpose: To contribute to the success of the British Horse Society (BHS) and British Riding Clubs (BRC) through the administration of membership lists, competition workload, training workload and social media.Reporting to: BRC Team LeaderKey Responsibilities:Administration:Support the Membership Administrator with membership workload, to include processing membership lists and affiliation applications and any other membership tasks as necessary.Support the Competitions Coordinator and Competitions Administrator with the competition workload, to include processing entries and results, maintaining BRC Leagues, maintaining the downgrading system and any other competition tasks as necessary. Attend BRC Championships as required.Provide administrative support for BRC training initiatives.Support the Marketing & Promotions Coordinator with the production of Enews and social media content and marketing.General:

  • Undertake any other duties as necessary to assist with the smooth running of the department.
  • Person specification:Essential
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Experienced in use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills and a team player
  • Equine knowledge, especially in the competition environment
  • Highly organised approach to work, accurate and with an eye for detail.
  • Car owner and driver
  • Flexible approach to varied and often long working hours including weekends (approximately six weekends per year)
  • Experience of basic financial practices, such as raising invoices, purchase orders and keeping cash sheets
  • Desirable
  • Previous experience of working for a membership organisation
