Job Description

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT / KILN BURNERWe are recruiting for the position of OPERATIONAL SUPPORT / KILN BURNER in Blackburn area working for a leading manufacturing company.Role and responsibilities of OPERATIONAL SUPPORT / KILN BURNER

  • Lighting kilns in accordance with the correct procedure
  • Loading and unloading kilns in accordance with the correct procedure
  • Packing sinks as and when required (Weekend duty)Casting and pushing down sinks as and when required
  • Carry out hourly checks on kilns and dryers and recording results.
  • Regular testing and adjustment of casting slip to ensure slip specification is maintained.
  • Ensuring that all instructions are carried out on each shift.
  • Report any faults that occur on each shift.
  • Ensuring that good housekeeping standards are met at all times, through regular cleaning.
    • Experience preferred for OPERATIONAL SUPPORT / KILN BURNER
  • Good levels of English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Mechanical & Electrical knowledge
  • Can do attitude towards work

  • Working hours: Continental shift 2pm-10pm/10pm-6am
  • Pay Rate - £11.50 per hour
