Job Description

Manufacturing in China, the US and in Lancashire at the heart of the UK textiles industry and with a long history in the manufacture of nonwovens, the business continuesto lead the way in its servicing of their target technical markets and provision of value-added products.Key to the delivery of the planned growth is the appointment of an ambitious and tenacious Export Sales Manager. With a particular focus on India, Pakistan, Turkey and other European countries, you will play a vital role in taking the companys sales tothe next level by developing existing clients, prospecting new markets and developing business opportunities as needs evolve. You will have a solid technical sales career to date and can demonstrate career progress in similar roles featuring solutions-driven,consultative selling processes. The ideal candidate will also have nonwovens or broader textiles experience and a technical degree, though most important is the ability to satisfy customer needs profitably. You will be looking to work as part of a small, dedicatedcommercial team in delivering great products and value to new customers.   • Develop existing and new client relationships to maximise revenue and create new opportunities
  • Identify and prospect new markets and business opportunities for technical nonwoven products
  • Research and establish key market information and develop Customer and Market Sales Plans
  • Research and establish competitor positioning in relevant markets and report accordingly
  • Identify new product opportunities by maintaining understanding of evolving client needs
  • Actively support new product development and launch through robust sales and marketing processes
  • Be the voice of the client in delivering quality assurance and in dealing with product-related issues
  • Develop your own sales portfolio of key accounts to deliver volume business at appropriate margins
Candidate Profile Requirements:
  • Solid B2B sales career to date in technical manufactured products for export (nonwovens / textiles ideal)
  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. Textiles/Engineering)
  • Self-reliant, able to work autonomously in developing effective sales plans and client relationships
  • Excellent communicator - can produce and present client & marketing reports to inform business decisions
  • Clearly evident sales communication skills, able to understand technical needs and present solutions
  • Knowledge of fibre manufacturing and polymer science would be valuable though not essential
