Job Description

Head of Market Insight Vivergo Fuels and Broster Buchanan are exclusively working in partnership on a retained basis to recruit for a Head of Market Insight opportunity based in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire. Vivergo Fuels, part of the ABF Sugar Division, provides homegrown,renewable energy to support the UK economy, agriculture, and all of us in our everyday lives – producing a greener more sustainable fuel for cars (bioethanol) and a protein rich animal feed for cows and other animals. Vivergo Fuels truly believe that ‘OURENERGY MATTERS’ .Due to growth, this is a newly created opportunity, reporting directly into the Commercial & Transformation Director and you will be supported by a research analyst. The right candidate will lead all areas of research and analysis of relevant markets, toshape both short- and long-term commercial decision making. Key Deliverables:

Defining market analysis approach including identifying key markets, supply and demand vectors.
Selecting tools and processes to deliver effective insight regarding market dynamics, identify scenarios for future market evolution.
Be responsible for implementing robust systems to manage insight data, develop KPIs and strategically help drive the business.
Communicate notable trends and patterns to both internal and external stakeholders.
Be an effective partner to the commercial team to maximise value, or manage risk from commodity market volatility.

The Right Candidate:

Will have experience within commodity research function.
Advanced Excel is essential, experience with Reuters / Bloomberg / ICE is an advantage.
A proven track record with application of analytical and statistical methodologies to carry out data analysis and interpretation, to research commodity trends.
Experience of petrochemical or the grains markets would be beneficial.
Will possess strong mathematical, engineering or economic understanding.
Will take ownership and work to drive the business forward.
