Job Description

Do you want to work for a global automotive manufacturer Are you available for an ongoing temporary assignmentIf you have answered yes to the above, we have a fantastic opportunity for youWe are currently recruiting for Production Operatives for our large automotive client based in Coventry. The successful candidate will have experience or hold a strong interest in working in a manufacturing environmentAll applicants must hold either an in date Counterbalance or Reach licenseBenefits:

Pay Rate We have opportunities on a 2 shift rotating and 3 shift rotating basis
  • £17.41 for 2 shift
  • £18.28 for 3 shift
Hours of Work:
  • 36 hours per week, plus the option of overtime
  • Monday to Friday
  • 3 shift rotation
Paintshop Body Movement:
  • Accepting delivery of bodies from core plants.
  • Load empty Oxford skid into Marriage station.
  • Fork lift the primed body from to marriage station.
  • Using the HMI screen upload data and marriage body to Oxford Road skid.
  • Print and Label printed body - check details (manual for Castle Bromwich)
  • Primed body moved into paintshop via trolley.
  • Liaise with MP&L Scheduler for body return (check tailgates and build sequence date details on FIFO)
  • Remove bodies off paint track via HMI screen.
  • Move bodies for returning to marriage station ready for despatch.
  • Using the HMI screen select despatch and place return body on to the rollers.
  • Maintain and update Paintshop layout board with body skids and info.
  • Arrange prep line and load bodies in, in date order in line with FIFO via HMI screen.
  • Process cars through wax booth.
  • Put cars onto prep deck 2 as required for production functions.
  • Fork lift the primed Jaguar bodies from Artic onto Oxford Road skid on body trolley.
Adhoc duties:
  • Load and unload Lorries for BASF, Leadec & general paint deliveries.
  • Maintain data history for MP&L scheduler when required.
  • Support Plastics movements when required.
  • Accepting replacements panels from Solihull/Castle Bromwich and sorting into correct holders/storage areas.
  • Liaise with paintshop team to update panel data.
  • Transport skids for cleaning in/out of paintshop.
To be consider for the role a FLT counterbalance licence, for 5t truck and it needs to be valid for at least 12 months.If all of the above sounds like something you are interested in and have relevant experience in then apply now.
