In fact, its a bigteam effort and its why ourCollections Assistantare so important.Contract / Duration: Fixed term until May 2024Hours: Were recruiting for two part-time Collections Assistants to join the team at Rufford Old Hall:

1 x 18 hours per week
1 x 14 hours per week

Both roles require weekend working and flexibility. It was home to the Hesketh family for over five centuries and the diminutive size of the property still gives it a lovely, homely feel today. Althoughthe Hesketh family no longer reside at Rufford Old Hall, there is a still a close family here made up of our National Trust staff and volunteer family who work together to care for this beautiful house and grounds.Youll be part of a dedicated house team consisting of staff and volunteers. Youll work alongside the wider property team consisting of our Garden, Welcome, Facilities and Food and Beverage Teams. What youll be doing As a Collections Assistant, youll be working with a great housekeeping team in an incredible place, helping with the day-to-day cleaning and care of the collections. No detail will go unnoticed, and youll keep a keen eye on everything from the environmentalconditions in a room, to signs of wear and tear. Youll keep accurate records too.In this visitor facing role, wed love you to talk to visitors about the work youre doing, and the collections we have.
