Job Description

Head of Human ResourcesWe are delighted to be working with the values based Elim Housing, a charitable social landlord with c. 60 employees and 900 homes, to help find them an exceptional Head of HR to further develop their organisational capability with regards to people andculture.This senior generalist HR role, provides strategic and operational HR expertise to develop and deliver their People & Culture Strategy. This is to ensure Elim are able to attract, retain and engage a talented and diverse workforce needed to achieve positiveresults for their customers and colleagues.Their People and Culture Strategy focuses on well-being, talent development and inclusion and this post will be at the heart of all of this work. Elim is a truly progressive organisation which encourages learning and development. With that in mind they willwelcome applications both from experienced HR & OD professionals and also those looking to progress into a more senior role.What you will be doing:

  • Reporting to the inspiring Deputy Chief Executive, and as a member of the leadership team, you will be working closely with both the Operational Leadership Team and the Executive Team, to ensure policies and procedures are legally compliant and promotea fair, diverse and inclusive approach for people and culture.
  • Develop and deliver the People & Culture Strategy to positively support employee engagement and the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Guide and advise managers to ensure Elim colleagues are engaged and given the tools and development to perform at their best.
  • Proactively manage ER cases including dispute resolution, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and redundancy.
What you will need to be successful:
  • Substantial HR generalist experience, able to evidence driving forward improvements in engagement and the development and motivation of a dispersed team of colleagues.
  • Significant experience of developing and delivering strategic projects that strengthen organisational culture and enable change.
  • Extensive experience of designing and delivering learning and development strategy and practice which best supports individual talent and team succession planning.
  • Strong leadership skills and qualities, with experience of coaching and developing peers and team members
