Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a global manufacturer offering a world class and innovative environment with excellent benefits.We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to service our spinning equipment, to join our Maintenance team. The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for planning and carrying out preventative planned maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to all spinners within the WER ROCKWOOL plant.This is full time, permanent vacancy based at our Bridgend site.This is the role:Job Purpose & Scope:To ensure that all spinner machines are maintained to perform at their optimum capacity and efficiency in order to ensure the continuous supply of production of ROCKWOOL products.Responsibilities:

To carry out routine/preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical aspects of the spinners in a safe and efficient manner
Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard as expected in ROCKWOOL
Ensure all H&S (Health and Safety) procedures are adhered to including Permit to work
Create and maintain & enhance effective working relationships with key stake holders
Assist in developing SOPs and Risk assessments when required
Attend training as required to maintain personal qualification/competence
To assist in training whenever necessary

Key Result Areas

To achieve all PKFs for the running of the spinners and the efficiencies of the factory
To adhere to all health and safety rules ensuring good catches are reported in the Rockshe system and any allocated are dealt with promptly
To build effective relationship with all key stakeholders
To investigate an analyse all failures and look to improve all problem areas
To ensure that all spinner workshops are kept to a 6S standard
To ensure that all records and updated in SAP

5 + years experience suitable for new role, engineering biased where they have driven change effectively
Written and spoken English Language
Computer literacy
