Job Description

Accounts Receivable Manager Up to £45,000 DOE + Excellent benefits Bridgend Fixed Term Contract, approx. 6 monthsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to work for a prestigious organisation based in the Bridgend area. The role requires an experienced Accounts Receivable candidate that ideally has had previous exposure withina Shared Service setting and is comfortable working independently.You will be required to take full ownership for minimising the risk of bad debts. You will be heavily involved in resolving customer queries, working closing with the Accounts Receivable team based within their SSC, as well as with customer support, salesand logistics teams.Main duties will include:

  • Ensuring cash is collected from customers in a timely manner
  • You will ensure all systems and controls surrounding the AR function are adhered to
  • To drive the collection process across Europe
  • Embed best practice collection strategies and policies to deliver aged debt KPIs
  • Occasional direct contact with customers to review debt position and potentially set up payment plans
  • Ensure all credit limits are correctly reflected and managing accounts to ensure additional credit requirements as business grows
  • Demonstrate the importance of shaping a strong credit control environment and focus on operating robust and effective processes in accordance with company policies in an operating model which is still to be fully defined
  • Ensure accurate forecasts are produced through understanding of payment plans
  • Monthly reporting of all potential bad debts, risk accounts and any other relevant issues
Essential requirements:
  • Strong credit control background with previous background of working within an SSC setting
  • SAP experience would be highly advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proven track record of working within a busy and commercial credit control department
  • Experience of working for multinational business would be highly advantageous

This will be a challenging, yet rewarding opportunity for the successful candidate.The role is office based. 36.5 hours per week.
