Job Description

In return, we make sure to provide you with challenges, development, training and career opportunities.This is the role:An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the newly created ROCKWOOL Inside Sales team.If you want the opportunity to work in a fast paced, varied and challenging sales role, supporting the wider ROCKWOOL commercial and specification teams in identifying, researching, working and developing project opportunities at any construction stage with key Supply Chain partners, contractors and distributors across the business, to enable achievement of the overall number.With an outgoing personality, ability to communicate at all levels from Architects to brickwork contractors and discuss the ROCKWOOL product portfolio with prospective and established customers.The role would suit someone happy to be making outgoing phone calls, emails and potential face to face meetings. We are looking for a candidate who can help grow the support the Inside Sales team provides to the UK Specification and Commercial teams.Duties of the consultant to include but not exclusive to:

  • Support the ROCKWOOL Commercial, Specification, HVAC, Fire and Merchant teams strategy, through effective management of the ROCKSELL CRM system, incoming project support forms, technical leads and self-generated project opportunities to identify sales opportunities at any stage of construction.
  • Supporting the Rockwool Commercial, Specification, HVAC, Fire and Merchant teams to track and maintain written specifications through to order stage.
  • Support the supply chain strategy, working with the supplied project information from supply chain partners to identify sales and project opportunities at any stage of construction.
  • Act as the key interface between ROCKWOOL Commercial, Specification, HVAC, Fire and Merchant teams to ensure that projects are bought to a mutually beneficial conclusion or next step.
  • Administer pricing and logging of pricing, on behalf of the commercial team via distributors and contractors to ensure sales are completed in a timely manner.
  • Make planned and non-planned phone calls to warm leads, cold leads, prospective customers and the wider ROCKWOOL team to support the sales effort.
  • Be responsible for accurate quoting and then following up with allocated Merchant accounts on your area, and building relationships with your allocated accounts to drive further business.
  • Identify key project areas and types (e.g. Priority Schools Building Programme) to ensure that all opportunities are qualified and researched, before hand off to next relevant party for development - be the owner of lead generation for the business.
  • Act as the interface between the Rockwool Technical Hub and the wider business to ensure that incoming project enquiries are dealt with in a swift, professional manner and that calculations and project details are recorded via CRM for follow up.
  • Work with ASM teams and the price log to identify project opportunities in the field.
  • Operate within the framework of the ROCKSELL CRM system to add and progress projects, enabling provision of accurate forecasts to the business on key product groups such as roofing and rainscreen.
  • Feed’ the ASM’s and PSM’s with quality, qualified data to bring the order over the line.
  • Assist the ASM’s and PSM’s with appointment qualification and booking.
  • Spend time in the field moving the projects along with the relevant parties.
  • Provide reports via ROCKSELL CRM system to the business in both a planned and reactive manner when required.
  • Distribution of weekly project leads from builder’s conference etc to the key members of the business.
  • Distribution of key CRM reports to the business including the ASM’s and PSM’s.
  • Provision of training, planned and re active of the ROCKSELL system to new joins and established members of staff when required.
  • Be a key ROCKSELL CRM operator and user.
