Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit into their Design Department a Product Development Assistant to provide support for the Product Development & Design Function.It is essential for this position that you have a related textiles degree and some relevant work experienceRole and Responsibilities for the position of Product Development Assistant:

  • Produce and maintain Customer & Supplier Product Development Trackers per season
  • Liaise with factories, requesting prices, samples etc. in line with critical path
  • Full understanding of critical path and key dates
  • Support buyer on product development
  • Develop basic product knowledge across key product areas
  • Carry out market analysis to support Buyer identify new products & opportunities, building own market knowledge
  • Use of Klikview to prepare and present sales analysis
  • Logging and tracking all samples and swatches received in the Design studio
  • Computer referencing all design developments and products that are progressing to bulk manufacture
  • Invoicing of bought Artwork and processing of Copyright forms.
  • Creating and maintaining Green Development Files (in collaboration with the Designers)
  • Showroom display support, setting up for customers and product selection meetings
  • Work cross functionally to build & maintain working relationships with Design, Commercial, Quality & Merchandising teams
  • General Admin support for the Product Development & Design Function, including printer maintenance, stationery supplies & parcels
  • Supporting Organising travel and shows requirements
