Are you looking to join a successful manufacturer where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving Health & Safety across our sites as well as reducing our environmental impactWorking for a well-respected manufacturing firm you will report to the QHSE Manager. You will take responsibility for the management of Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Environmental matters including policy implementation, monitoring and inspection, riskassessment, investigation, and training. This job role plays a key role in continuing and promoting a positive Health & Safety culture amongst employees, agency workers, contractors, and visitors on site.Key Tasks will include:• Develop and maintain the Safety Management System ensuring full compliance with legislative and certification requirements.• Lead the Health & Safety Committee ensuring all areas of the business are represented.• Support all aspects of the business with competent guidance and information in relation to Health & Safety.• Review existing safe systems of work and risk assessments to ensure they are suitable and sufficient.• Focus on prevention, conducting risk assessments, safety inspection and internal audits.• Monitor and support the reduction of site’s waste and environmental impacts.• Ensure all necessary environmental permits are in place and that the company complies with permit requirements.• Carry out standard checks on firefighting provisions and ensure fire evacuations are carried out.• Devise and drive forward key Health & Safety initiatives.About you:• Minimum two years’ experience working in Health & Safety with a manufacturing background.• Must be qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate level or equivalent or studying towards.• Sound knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and a familiarity with environmental regulations.• Computer literate and able to prepare reports, correspondence, and training presentations to a high standard.• A NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management is desirable for this role but a willingness to train in this area will also be considered.Why Join usFaith in Nature manufactures a range of naturally derived, vegan, personal, pet care and home care products.
