  • Full time, permanent, onsite role
  • Hours per week: 37.5 hours centering around 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
THE BUSINESSAn international manufacturer based in Prudhoe is looking to recruit an experience Buyer/Supply Chain Coordinator to join the Sales Team. Providing a range of quality services to clients and partners across the globe, this business is continuing to experienceincreased growth and so requires additional support. As an integral part of the team you’ll help to drive sales and ensure you are providing the best possible service to both clients and suppliers. The working environment will be suited to you if you are self-motivated, able to take initiative and organised in your work.THE ROLEAs a Buyer/Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for all procurement activities across all business projects. You will work as part of the Sales Team working closely with the Sales Manager where you will be responsible for a number of key dutiesincluding; liaising with customers, supplier scheduling, inventory analysis, project supportYour day to day tasks will include:
  • Reviewing project requirements and specifications and identify potential customers/suppliers (existing or new).
  • Research and compare suppliers based on price, quality, best fit and delivery - produce RFQ’s.
  • Negotiate best Price, Delivery, Terms and Conditions and best payment terms possible.
  • Providing quotations within the ERP system, directly to customers/end clients/agents with all aspects of Sales operations.
  • Negotiating potential orders with end clients.
  • Place orders with suppliers in a timely manner to be delivered to required deadlines.
  • Track and expedite orders as needed to ensure the smooth running of projects.
  • Processing of imports and exports.
  • Resolve issues with supplier and/or orders.
  • Ensure the correct usage of ERP/MRP to capture accurate data for reporting and forecasting purposes.
YOUR EXPERIENCE To be considered for the Buyer position, you must hold the following skills and experience:
  • Recent experience working as a Buyer or Supply Chain Coordinator within the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent IT skills, including comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to collate data into management information
  • Similar experience in the supply chain function
  • Analytically minded
  • Proactive and organised
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to make own decisions and use own initiative
  • Fantastic communication and organisation skills
Ideally you will also:
  • Be CIPS qualified
