Job Description

Im recruiting on behalf of my client, a Global Freight Company for an experienced Multi Modal Import Coordinator for their Aberdeen Office.If you have a minimum of 2 years experience working in forwarding role and are looking for an exciting new challenge, I would love to chat with you!Duties & Responsibilities include:

Book shipments with overseas agents, carriers, shipping lines and road transport companies
Ensure data fully and accurately entered to all systems
Process all client import requests including EXW collections, import declarations and delivery
arrangements
Process customs declarations in accordance with HMRC compliance
Maintain a thorough understanding of HM Revenue & Customs regulations
Timely invoicing of jobs in line with KPI
Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings
Resolve day to day issues with Clients and Vendors & if necessary, escalate to Import Manager

To be considered for this role you will have an excellent understanding of the principles and practices of shipping and freight forwarding and a high attention to detail, the ability to work accurately with figures and concepts of customs clearance.You will have good time management skills and be able to multi-task and work to strict timelines whilst remaining calm, confident, and polite when dealing with customers.
