Hourly Rate:£10.04 - £11.60 phAurora Hedgeway is a dynamic and inspiring provision for children and young people aged 7-19 with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism and related social and communication needs.Weoffer every student the chance to explore and fulfil their own unique potential. With provision running from Key Stage 2 all the way through to post-16, we are set up to support children and young people at every stage of their academic journey.Themain purpose of the role:The purpose of the Teaching Assistant is to support the children with their learning and general wellbeing to ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safeenvironment. GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential.
Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
Knowledge orexperience of pupils with SEN
Commitment to the role, the desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual
Be positive and creative in meeting pupils needs
L3 award in supporting teaching and learning in schools or equivalent(desirable)
Previous experience (at least one year) of working as a L2 qualified or equivalent TA (desirable)
