Job Description

A superb opportunity exists for registered Inpatients Nurse to join a highly qualified team of professionals within an award-winning private hospital situated in beautiful Bath.The RoleYou will provide and maintain the highest possible standard of nursing care for patients and their families by ensuring an on-going welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for patients within each of the Care settings, whilst ensuring a continuedprovisioning of an environment conducive to Clinical excellence.The RoleYou will provide and maintain the highest possible standard of nursing care for patients and their families by ensuring an on-going welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for patients within each of the Care settings, whilst ensuring a continuedprovisioning of an environment conducive to Clinical excellence.With no 2 days the same, you will be working flexibly as part of the hospital Clinical team, you will be routinely assigned to the Inpatients department and on occasion may be required to work on day surgery or on Outpatients, depending on the needs of thepatients.Responsibilities

  • Prepare clinic rooms for procedures including preparation of sterile instrumentation, equipment and supplies as required, ensuring appropriate use of resources and minimal waste
  • Ensure the Patient Record is completed in a timely and accurate way.
  • Comply with policies and procedures, in particular, issues relating to Health and Safety, COSSH, Incident Reporting and the Data Protection Act.
  • Reporting of all accidents and untoward
  • Act as specialist/link person having undergone the relevant training sessions in your area of expertise.
  • Develop the patient pathway to ensure that the patient is prepared physically and psychologically to undergo necessary procedures.
  • Obtain patient consent for specific procedures after undertaking appropriate on- line packages/skills training.
  • Deliver patient care in accordance with recognised standards of research and evidence based best clinical practise.
  • Understand and apply a holistic patient centred care approach, identifying and considering specialist clinical needs of each patient, ensuring patients receive the appropriate documented information for the planned procedure.
  • Provide flexible cover across unit and specialty areas, as required
Required skills and experience
  • Hold an NMC professional registration
  • Have experience in a similar Clinical role
  • Demonstrable record of CPD

  • Act as mentor for students, learners, junior nurses and Health Care Assistants and appropriately recording progress.
