Job Description

Role: Academic Teaching Staff Location: University Academy 92 (Business School and Old Trafford Campus)Contract Type: Permanent Part Time The role Contribute effectively to the successful learning experiences of students in the College through effective teaching that meets or exceeds College standards and results in high levels of student retention and achievement. You will teach on our FoundationProgramme. As a member of our Academic Teaching Staff , you will contribute to the design and development of teaching materials and delivery across a range of modules. We offer competitive hourly rates from £25 per hour depending on qualifications and teachingexperience hours and modules. We teach in blocks of six weeks and there are six blocks per academic year.We are looking for Academic Teaching Staff across a range of modules including:

English and Academic Skills
Introduction to Numerical Techniques
Introduction to Research
Introduction to Business Studies
Principles of IT
Introduction to Media and Communication

Minimum Master’s degree in a relevant subject
Teaching and assessment experience in UK higher or further education
Teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards completion, with experience of working with international students
Commitment to and understanding of the development of students of diverse backgrounds.
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to work flexibly and adaptably to meet the changing needs of the organisation
Understand equal opportunity issues as they may impact on academic content and issues relating to student needs

Desirable experience required

PhD or Professional Doctorate in a relevant subject
Experience in curriculum design
Network with relevant employers and industry sector
