Job Description

If this is something that sounds interesting, please apply below!The Role:Brook Street are proud to be working in partnership with the Marine Management Organisation, based in Newcastle. We are recruiting for a Higher Executive Officer (Temporary) at the Newcastle Lancaster House office on a full-time basis.Assignment: 2 Months with the possibility to extendRate of Pay: £15.17 per hourHours: Full Time - Monday - Friday - (Flexible Shift Patterns)Location: NewcastleWorking arrangements: Hybrid Working - 2 Days Per Week in the Lancaster House Office, NewcastleThe Temporary Worker will provide middle management support and operate with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgement in completing assignments.Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

  • Assisting Head of Dept in the forward planning and scheduling of work for the coming FY.
  • Actively supports the budget control of resource, maintain records of resource deployment, resource spend and invoice control.
  • Responsible for the utilisation of systems and processes, to collect, collate, analyse, and document all forms of resource request, allocation, and expenditure, including sensitive contractual data. Identify process improvements where applicable.
  • Liaises with managers and staff across the department to assist in the efficient, effective, and accurate control tracking of Data Protection and Records Management activity and product delivery against targets.
  • Provision of skillset to assist in the backlog of admin tasks: such as tracking requests, delivery of assessments, tracking team mailboxes
  • Undertake administration and cataloguing of Technical Assurance and Technical Architecture artefacts.
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, and co-ordinating activities in support of recruitment and onboarding new staff.
  • Monitor and manage multiple team mailboxes, including logging and assigning tasks.
  • Ensures confidentiality is always maintained.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders at senior level building and maintaining relationships

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills both oral and written

  • Have strong planning, time management and organisational skills
  • Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above
  • Two A level passes at grade E or above or equivalent
  • NVQ Management Level 3 or 4 (or suitable management experience)
  • Management experience in an office environment
