Job Description

An independent family owned business based in Leeds (with further premises located across the UK) is seeking an experienced production manager.The business has been established for thirty years and is a supplier of tools, equipment and safety products for numerous industry sectors.In addition to goods in / goods out supplies, the company also have a manufacturing arm which provides personalised goods for companies such as log printed / heat sealing or embroidered safety work wear or equipment.This is a hands on production manager position to take ownership of this function managing a small team of 3 operatives and to lead by example but constantly seeking out process improvements.Key responsibilities include:Managing a team of 3 operatives ensuring the required volume of work is achievedCreating bill of materials and work orders on a daily basisManaging the production schedule and improving lead timesAlways seeking process improvements and efficienciesResponding to sales team requests for prices and lead timesThe individualExperienced in production management / supervisionVery much a positive and friendly person and MUST be down to earth!Happy to split role between hands on production and office based dutiesStrong work ethicOn site parking is available and would suit someone with their own transport.Hours 8am -5pmPension29 days holiday (inc.
