Warehouse Operative - Laboratory Service Operative

Job Description

A permanent job opening has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to work in one of the UKs leading private healthcare organisations to be part of the team that aims to deliver Rapid Response Laboratory and Core Laboratory facilities and assist and support theLaboratory Support Team Leader ensuring efficient and effective use of the laboratory facilities. This role based in Kings Cross, Central London.Duties for this role include:Autoclave:

  • Ensuring all autoclave waste is correctly handled during transportation between waste rooms and the autoclave facility
  • Operating autoclaves in a diligent manner
  • Disposing of all waste generated in a timely manner
  • Communicating with both Analytics teams and Building Management teams with any issues arising
Basement Cold Store:
  • Management of all waste generated from Cold Stores in line with protocols
  • Ensuring all samples which are destined for other storage are correctly managed and tracked through to storage and disposal
  • Liaising with Analytics staff when required on the retrieval of samples to send back to Laboratory or where required.
Stock and Procurement:
  • Ensuring that stock is delivered by the Supplier. Counting and checking stock against delivery note and lagging and troubleshooting any discrepancies and logging of delivery on system. Checking the quantity of units on delivery note against PO.
  • Supporting other Facilities from time to time there may be a need to support other FM facilities
  • To assist in the order management and distribution of supplies for GPs
To be considered for this role you must possess:
  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse/good in department
  • Good organisational skills.
  • To work accurately, neatly, and efficiently. Attention to detail is key in this role.
  • To work in a team or as an individual
  • Basic Keyboard skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • To communicate effectively in English - both verbally and in writing and with people at all levels
  • Must be fit and able to lift boxes
  • Show professionalism and a customer-focused attitude
