The leading Solar PV Developer of large-scale, grid-connected solar farms is looking for a Solar Design Engineer to be instrumental in their growth within the UK market. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the design of projects from initial conception to full planning submission status and will receivea pension scheme, parental leave and 25 days holiday.As a Solar Design Engineer your responsibilities will include:- Designing and budgetary pricing of the projects assigned to you.- Providing technical expertise, where needed, to support the development of projects.- Identifying new leads using GIS and following the journey with the DNO and the Land team until the lead progresses to an active project.- Completing formal grid connection applications.- Technically reviewing new equipment as and when the need arises.We are looking for a Solar Design Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:- Advanced understanding of solar farm development, design, and construction cycles.- Previous experience in the design of Solar PV using AutoCAD and PVSyst.- Knowledge and experience in working with DNO.- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.- Valid Drivers’ License.You will be joining a dynamic, forward-thinking team where like-minded people work together to achieve a fantastic portfolio.
