Job Description

West End bank is seeking Payments and settlements candidate to join this busy and friendly team. You will be part of the team that functions relating to retail payment operations including inward & outward payments, agency clearing, liaising/supportingthe various business units and assisting the team to complete all other daily tasksResponsibilities;

  • Process the daily work relating to;
  • The logging, inputting &/or verification of Inward / Outward payments relating to all NBKI business units
  • Fixed Deposits & Standing Orders
  • Positioning of funds with Treasury as well as inter-department position clearing
  • Inward & Outward cheque clearing
  • Online banking - payment processing, account activation and maintenance
  • Bill payments for Real Estate
  • FX deals - creation, processing and liaising with dealers for rates
  • Visa Debit Card ordering, processing and reporting
  • Daily Suspense account reconciliation
  • Opening of overdraft facilities
  • Processing of account closures
  • Other adhoc duties as requested by the section or department head.
  • 3 years previous experience of Retail Operations within a similar organisation ideally.
Essential
  • Knowledge of payments systems: CHAPS / BACS / Faster Payments / SEPA.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT payment messages - MT103/202/202Cov/110/199
  • High level of accuracy and concentration.
  • Commitment and ability to work under pressure
  • Professional manner
  • Positive & flexible attitude
  • Self- motivated
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Numerate and PC literate
