Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to work for the UKs leading Diagnostic Medical Pathology organisation, based in the heart of Londons Westend at their prestiges Clinic. The role is tooversee the operation of theClinic, the care and safeguarding of the patients, the development of the staff and other key management duties such as budgeting.The role will incorporate the following duties: -

  • Day to day management of Phlebotomy and Reception staff
  • Liaising directly with patients and taking samples when needed.
  • Involvement with smooth running of department to include sample taking, home visits and reception duties as required
  • To be familiar with all working practices including the IT and telephone systems within the department and provide support and back up as required
  • Responsible for recruitment, supervision, appraisal and training of Patient Reception and Phlebotomy staff
  • Liaising with internal departments as required
  • Occupational Health - will involve liaising with the new Occupational Health team
  • Staff attendance records and rosters
  • Co-ordinate regular departmental meetings
  • Ensure high levels of customer care, support, and liaison
  • Responsibility for ordering equipment and consumables, maintaining stock control system & rotation
  • Maintain and implement department policies and procedures
  • Ensure working practice within the department is in line with QMG, company and CQC requirement
