Job Description

Production Planner -Temporary to PermanentAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Production Planner based in Manchester. This is a temporary to permanent role.The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm and will earn a salary depending on experience.The Production Planner will help develop and implement a new system. A key requirement of the role ultimately, is to successfully plan the complete build process along with repairs ensuring Customer delivery dates are achieved.Role Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Production Planner/Supply Chain role
  • A background in manufacturing (engineering preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • High level user of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Relevant supply chain qualifications achieved or working towards an industry-recognised qualification in planning.
  • Good communication, able to convey information to all levels of the organisation, with the correct detail required.
  • A positive and approachable attitude
  • Attention to detail, effectively right-first time.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • An ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Flexibility and fast thinking

Role Responsibilities
  • To plan manufacturing build schedule and coordinate raw materials delivery date requirements to meet our customers needs, working closely with Operations/Procurement/Commercial team.
  • Planning Manufacturing schedule WO to meet customers demands for the following:
    • Sub-assembles
    • Bodybuilding
    • Tail lift fitting
    • Electrical work
    • 3rd Party Paint Application
    • 3rd Party Decal fitment
    • 3rd party Moffat fitment
  • Planning and maintaining stock.
  • Running MRP.
  • Running Capacity planning.
  • Presenting production plans.
  • Communicating production demands.
  • Identify, resolve, and forecast capacity constraints in line with demand.
  • Develop and maintain effective processes and clear status reports.
  • Co-ordinate and communicate with customers and suppliers to keep them informed of any changes to schedule.
